Introducing
Advanced Stained Glass Classes in Boulder, CO
For the makers who've moved past patterns and are ready to build something entirely their own.
These are our longest, most involved classes: multi-week courses where you show up with an idea and leave with a finished, original piece, guided every step of the way by an experienced instructor right here on Pearl Street.
Stick with the copper foil method you already know for a custom project, learn the traditional leaded glass technique used in classic architectural windows, or go all in on our most ambitious course yet: designing and building a full stained glass window from scratch.
Heads up, prior stained glass experience is required for all of these!
Advanced Class Information
4-Week Advanced Stained Glass Class (Copper Foil)
Got a project idea but not sure how to actually pull it off? This 4-week class gives you real studio time and expert help to bring a copper foil project of your own to life: a window panel, a detailed suncatcher, a gift, whatever you've been picturing. We'll help you design it, build the pattern, and troubleshoot along the way. This is the class where you go from following patterns to creating your own.
4-Week Leaded Stained Glass Method Class
Learn stained glass the old way, the way it's been done for centuries. In this 4-week class, you'll learn the traditional leaded method, using lead came instead of copper foil: stretching and cutting came, assembling a leaded panel, soldering joints, cementing your finished piece so it actually holds up. This is the technique behind classic church and architectural windows, and it lets you build bigger, more structural pieces. Prior stained glass experience required.
Make Your Own Stained Glass Window
This is our most ambitious class, hands down. Over 4 immersive weeks, you'll learn everything you need to design and build your own stained glass window, a piece you'll genuinely treasure for years. We'll guide you from your first idea all the way to the finished window, help you pick glass from our full in-studio collection, and get you to something you'll be proud to hang. This one's a favorite for students who want to make something truly their own.
